Pansy Patch

 

  

This was my first attempt finally using the Pansy Patch Bundle. 

When designing this card I decided to use the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder to emboss the white mat layer which after embossing I used the  Blending Brushes along with So Saffron ink to add some colour to the cardstock.  You can make it as light or dark as you like and each one will be different.  

This is adhered to the Night of Navy card mat which is sitting on a base card of Balmy Blue  

The pansy's I die cut out of Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, So Saffron cardstock.

The words where stamped in So Saffron to coordinate with the ink used on the embossing folder and the cardstock for the centre of the pansy.

After sticking the pansy together with multipurpose liquid glue and mini glue dots they were stuck on with dimensionals to the front of the card along with the Double Oval punched out words.  

 To make it easier to adhere the Night of Navy edging to the pansy I put the adhesive sheets on the card stock before die cutting.

This card was designed with a beginner stamper in mind but also with a casual stamper as it is easy to step it up with this stamp set - In the Moment (page 57) from the current Stampin' Up! Catalogue January-June 2022.

I decided that for a change I would do just a plain Basic White on Basic White base card and mask without any embossing or colour for the beginner stamper card.

After stamping the image and words in Black memento I used various Stampin' Blends (below shows some of the colours I have used) to colour the image and finished it off with one of the new Brushed Brass Butterflies from the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue.

Although it is a simple card I was happy with how it came out.

Valentine's Cards

 Love & Happiness - Valentines Cards

I was asked if it was possible for me to make a number of Valentines Cards.

As I had some of the Sweet Talk 12"x12" Designer Series Paper from the current Stampin' Up Mini January-June 2022 Catalogue I decided that would be a good starting point.  

I then also incorporated the  Love & Happiness Bundle (using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing folder and the "Happy Valentine's Day Friend" stamp from the stampset).

As Stampin' Up has a great range of colours I used the co-ordinating Real Red, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather that are in the Designer Series Paper.  

The Note Cards & Envelopes made a great base to start from and these co-ordinate well with the stampset, embossing folder and designer series paper.   

There was a lot of  cutting and embossing using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  I used the Warm Wrap dies, Painted Labels Dies, and a couple of older dies for the various heart cutouts.  

There was also the Double Oval Punch for the wording and finished off with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel. 

It was important that each card is different. 

 For these cards it was important to even ensure the envelope was co-ordinating so I used the Turtle Friends Stampset 3 hearts stamp to finish the envelope.
