Simple Card To Highlight Designer Series Paper

Quiet Weekend Away With
Simple Craft Supplies.

What is better than being able to pack up a small assortment of craft supplies for a short weekend break away with family and friends.

I managed to do this recently earlier this month (before we had our countrywide Covid 19 lockdown come into force).  I took the following supplies with me and managed to get a couple of cards made while sitting enjoying the views out the window:-

In my bag I made sure that I had the following supplies:-
  • Precut card bases
  • Designer series paper
  • Precut whisper white card
  • Pre punched shapes
  • One stamp set - Sending You Thoughts Stampset - Sale-A-Bration
  • black memento inkpad
  • Highland Heather inkpad
  • Ribbon and twine (2 colours to match my Designer Series Paper)
  • Snail, dimensionals and bling

Painted Poppies - Highland Heather colour

Today for my first every blog
I want to share a card I stamped with the Painted Poppies stampset.

This is a stamp set that I absolutely adore as there are so many possibilities when you put the two stamp sets (Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments) together with or without their corresponding dies.

The colour combinations are endless for the hand colouring with the blends.  You can easily make them traditional in colours or take it way out there and use random colours.  That is why I chose Highland Heather for my card below.

I have stamped the image onto whisper white card with the black memento ink pad and then hand coloured with both the Light and Dark Highland Heather Blends to get the two tones for the flowers.

To add some additional colour to this card before I mounted it onto my Highland Heather card base I have added some 3/8" Purple Tricolour Ribbon.

Finally the sentiment has been stamped in Highland Heather and then punched out with the Label Me Lovely punch.
