The Silver Stampers - Come Sail Away Blog Hop

Welcome to The Silver Stampers blog hop today.  The Silver Stampers are a small group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators here in Christchurch, New Zealand who wish to share their passion for crafting with you.  This is our first blog hop together and are showcasing the Come Sail Away Suite.

No matter if you arrived here from Maria Henderson or if you are starting here please make sure you hop through all the blogs as you won't want to miss any of the projects everyone is sharing with you.

In these times when we are all in our small bubbles it is great to still be able to be creative and join with friends to craft and share our creations with each other.

I think it was one of the word stamps in the set that really stood out and caught my eye.  The words are "Let Hope Be Your Anchor Through The Storms Of Life" and I think that what we are all going through at the moment with lockdowns due to Covid-19, yes it is a type of storm but we will get through this and come out the other side.

Here is my card design for today.

I have lightly inked up the High Seas 3D Embossing Folder with Night of Navy ink prior to embossing the white card mat.  For the lighthouse I have stamped in Night of Navy onto the Balmy Blue cardstock.

The 1st card mat is cut out of Mossy Meadow followed by the embossed Whisper White card mat.

The words are stamped in Mossy Meadow and the anchor in Balmy Blue.  These have then been die cut out and then dimensionals used to adhere onto the card front.

I hope you are keeping safe and well in your bubble no matter where in the world you are at this time.

Once again, thanks for stopping by and please enjoy the hop.

Let's now hop over to Andrea Mears as I am interested to see what she has created with this stamp set.

Bermuda Bay Poppies

Welcome,

Today I have done 2 versions of the same card to share with you.

The only difference between them is that one of the cards has whisper white card stock while the other has very vanilla card stock.

I am still in love with this particular suite even after 3 months of constant use as there are so many various possibilities that you can do with the suite.

Over the last few months I have enjoyed being able to use different colours from the normal Poppy Parade, Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry which are included in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.

For this card I decided to create two identical card layouts but used Whisper White on one and then used Very Vanilla on the second one.  I used the Blends in the colours of So Saffron, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral and then I added Crumb Cake card stock and either Whisper White of Very Vanilla.

To add a finishing touch I have added some of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon which I have coloured with the Light Bermuda Bay Blend.

Once the picture was coloured and ribbon attached it was adhered to the Calypso Coral and this was then attached with dimensionals. The words have been heat embossed in black.

Hope you enjoy

What is better than being able to pack up a small assortment of craft supplies for a short weekend break away with family and friends.

I managed to do this recently earlier this month (before we had our countrywide Covid 19 lockdown come into force).  I took the following supplies with me and managed to get a couple of cards made while sitting enjoying the views out the window:-

In my bag I made sure that I had the following supplies:-

  • Designer series paper
  • Precut whisper white card
  • Pre punched shapes
  • One stamp set - Sending You Thoughts Stampset - Sale-A-Bration

Painted Poppies - Highland Heather colour

Today for my first every blog
I want to share a card I stamped with the Painted Poppies stampset.

This is a stamp set that I absolutely adore as there are so many possibilities when you put the two stamp sets (Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments) together with or without their corresponding dies.

The colour combinations are endless for the hand colouring with the blends.  You can easily make them traditional in colours or take it way out there and use random colours.  That is why I chose Highland Heather for my card below.

I have stamped the image onto whisper white card with the black memento ink pad and then hand coloured with both the Light and Dark Highland Heather Blends to get the two tones for the flowers.

To add some additional colour to this card before I mounted it onto my Highland Heather card base I have added some 3/8" Purple Tricolour Ribbon.

Finally the sentiment has been stamped in Highland Heather and then punched out with the Label Me Lovely punch.
